About Me

A Little Peek into the Life of that Crazy Lady with Ten Kids

Writing has always been one of my greatest passions. When I was just a child I often told my mother I was going to be a journalist when I grew up. By the time I graduated high school, however, my plans had changed. I entered college with the plans to merge my love of language and my need for travel and adventure. I was double-majoring in education and foreign languages. My goal: to one day teach English abroad, more specifically in Europe.

My plans took a little detour when, in 1991, just barely out of my teens, I ended up eloping with Rob and starting a family. That family, which now includes ten children – six girls and four boys, has become center stage in my life. College and career were put on hold to invest in those things which are far more important — my heritage.

My Children – Easter 2009

Easter 2009

“How can there be too many children?
That’s like saying there are too many flowers.”
– Mother Theresa

My love for education and adventure continues to be fulfilled, however, as I home-educate my children and take them on all sorts of explorations!

Faith

I am proud to be a daughter of the King! A rather conservative Christian, I was saved as a high school student, then rededicated my life to the Lord in 1994.

Politics

I am a political conservative, with strong Constitutionalist and Libertarian leanings. I am very strongly pro-life (anti-abortion) and pro-family. I believe that government involvement in our lives should be VERY minimal, and that most government-run entities should be privatized. I support our military, and am very passionate about animal rights and conservation efforts.

Passions (Or Obsessions?)

Besides my passionate feelings on the issues regarding the pro-life, conservationist, and animal rights causes, which pretty much define me:

  • I love to read (my motto is, “so many books, so little time”.
  • I love babies
  • I love nature and everything about it — preferring to immerse myself in nature.
  • I enjoy photography — I almost always have a camera with me so I won’t miss one of those “Kodak moments”.
  • Some of my favorite things include sunshine, birds, colorful sunsets, the ocean, and art.
  • History

Pet Peeves

I won’t even go there. My hubby says I don’t have pet peeves…I have a whole zoo!
