Our Baby Girl – 12 to 16 Weeks

It’s time again for my monthly “Baby Girl” post. Yes, little Dee is 16 weeks old already. She continues to consume most of my time (as you may have noticed, due to the infrequency of my posts), but I don’t mind. She is the absolute joy and love of my life!

“DeeDee” is losing some of that fussiness that defined her for so long. She still prefers to be carried, and still does not like to be separated from Mama, but she is becoming much more tolerant of situations for the most part (just not the car seat or the stroller, thankyouverymuch). She will enjoy some time on the Gymini or in the Exersaucer — at least long enough for me to get a quick bite to eat, or put on some much needed make-up.

This is Baby Dee when we first introduced her to the Exersaucer about 5 weeks ago (April 15).
(Yeah, these photos should have been on my last Baby post…
but they were temporarily lost on a missing memory card.)

First she was really confused…

Then she was mesmerized…

Then she was amused and delighted!

I haven’t gotten a recent photo of her in the exersaucer, but these days (as of a few days ago)
she has started to play with the toys on her own.
She is so cute, spinning the little toys and giggling! (I love that she now giggles!)

Notice the drooling problem in the photo above…yep, teething has begun!

No, our baby doesn’t really sunbathe, but we spend a lot of time at the pool,
trying to survive the Florida heat…

and when I lay her down on the towel for a few minutes, and a sibling placed her sunglasses on her,
all I could think was, “Yup, she’s definitely a Floridian!”

Rey simply adores her. He always sings to her:
“Go to leep. Go to leep. Go to leep, my little one.”
