Thirteen Things about Janne

In Honor of Mother’s Day

Thirteen Things Motherhood Has Taught Me

  1. Sleep is a precious commodity.
  2. A wall is another name for “giant art canvas”.
  3. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is a Mother’s Best Friend (see #2).
  4. Macaroni and cheese is a delicacy.
  5. Socks have a high divorce rate.
  6. The laundry hamper has no bottom.
  7. Boys like to pee — and “aim” isn’t as important to them as it is to us.
  8. Quiet? Define quiet (I can’t remember).
  9. A tree’s only real purpose is for climbing.
  10. A tiny toddler, left unattended for 10 minutes, can cause more destruction than an F4 tornado.
  11. Carpets and children don’t mix.
  12. Big things really do come in small packages!
  13. You really can love someone so much it hurts.

Ok #5 had me chuckling! So very true! Carpets…we are working room by room to get rid of them. Totally agree with you. Lastly, did you know the Magic erasers can cause chemical burns? Supposedly there is a warning ont he box now, but I haven’t investigated it. I haven’t had the reaction, just be careful. =)

    #1 immediately brought to mind,

“Methought I heard a voice cry ‘sleep no more!
Macbeth does murder sleep’, the innocent sleep,
Sleep that knits up the ravell’d sleeve of care,
The death of each day’s life, sore labour’s bath,
Balm of hurt minds, great nature’s second course,
    Chief nourisher in life’s feast,—

    Great list! So very true!
I’m running late this week, of course you read why I’m late for work every day last week, so I guess you can see why I’d be late on my TT, lol.

So true..so true…I don’t think I have gotten a full nights sleep with my last baby, Rose. She will be one year on Wednesday! A whole year of not sleeping through the night….I sure hope her birthday will be the magic trick!
