Having lived in Alabama for 14 years, I have witnessed many a tornado and spent many a tornado warning crammed into a tiny bathroom…but being new to Florida, we may be looking at our first real hurricane experience.
“Wilma” is now reportedly a category 5 hurricane that may launch a direct hit on Tampa Bay by Saturday morning.
Right now we are discussing our options as far as evacuating. With a van that only gets 10 mpg and gas prices what they are, we can't go very far. We definitely need to leave the county though. I guess I will be updating as things progress.
